Job summary

YourRecruit Ltd in Crawley is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own the day‑to‑day finance function and drive accurate reporting. You will manage ledgers, cashflow, payroll, VAT and month‑end close, working with senior management to support commercial decisions.

This hands‑on role requires strong Excel skills, meticulous financial controls, and the ability to prioritise across multiple streams. Salary on offer is 40,000–50,000 GBP with a 8am‑5pm, Monday‑Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Financial Controller or in a senior finance role.
• Strong experience in ledgers, credit control, banking and reconciliations.
• Proven ability to prepare monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheets.
• Experience with cashflow forecasting, payroll and VAT.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Finance Administration & Ledgers: manage finance inbox and records.
• Lead sales and purchase ledgers, invoicing, payments and reconciliations.
• Oversee credit control, debtor queries and statements.
• Process supplier invoices, expenses, payments and remittances.
• Banking & Cashflow: daily reconciliations and cashflow forecasts.
• Payroll: monthly payroll payments, HMRC payments and journals.
• Month-End: ownership of close, accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
• Year-End & VAT: manage year-end processes and VAT returns.
