Job summary

Pertemps Dudley Industrial is seeking an experienced Finance Controller to join its finance team in Dudley. The role is full-time, office-based, reporting to the Finance Director, and involves hands-on financial control, P&L and balance sheet work, and daily finance operations.

The successful candidate will manage banking, BACS payments, reconciliations, and provide regular financial reporting and analysis to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting and control.
• Ability to prepare P&L accounts and balance sheets.
• Experience with banking, BACS payments, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Financial Control & Reporting.
• Prepare accurate P&L accounts.
• Prepare and maintain Balance Sheets.
• Produce regular financial and management reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end procedures.
• Identify and investigate financial discrepancies.
• Provide financial information and analysis to the Finance Director.
• Support the Finance Director with financial planning and reporting.
• Manage day-to-day banking activities.
• Prepare and process BACS payments and transfers.
• Monitor BACS transactions and errors.
• Monthly, weekly, and daily financial reports.
• Investigate and resolve payment rejections and discrepancies.
• Complete regular bank reconciliations.
• Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Oversee the Purchase Ledger and provide cover as required.
