Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is recruiting a Working Farm Manager to lead an arable and vegetable enterprise in Norfolk. You will oversee operations, people and resources while implementing long-term development plans on a hands-on basis.

The ideal candidate has vegetable-farming experience, strong leadership, and a commercial mindset. Accommodation and a truck are provided, with a competitive salary (£30,000–£42,000) and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Farm management experience within the vegetable sector.
• Strong practical farming knowledge and leadership.
• The organisational skills to coordinate people, machinery and seasonal priorities.

Responsibilities

• Planning and overseeing farming operations across arable and vegetable production.
• Taking an active, hands-on role in delivering work on the ground.
• Leading and coordinating farm operators, self-employed personnel and contractors.
• Supporting irrigation management and the effective use of farm resources.
• Working with specialist growing partners to deliver successful crop production.
• Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and working practices.
• Contributing to business development, strategic planning and the delivery of new initiatives.
