Job summary

TEC Partners - Technical Recruitment Specialists is working with a global engineering company near Wymondham seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a small engineering team. The role is hands-on, remaining technically involved while driving projects and people from concept through to manufacture.

You will lead from the front on product design, problem-solving and technical decision-making, managing multiple NPI and R&D projects within a global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience leading or mentoring an engineering team.
• Strong product design experience with electro-mechanical products.
• Experience delivering NPI and R&D projects.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) or similar.
• Excellent communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands-on approach balancing engineering and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a small team of engineers.
• Manage multiple R&D and NPI projects from concept to production.
• Remain hands-on with the design and development of electro-mechanical products.
• Oversee development of manufacturing processes, tooling, jigs and fixtures.
• Collaborate with production and programme teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Act as technical point of contact for customers and provide updates.
• Support quotations, engineering documentation and change activities.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes and product development.
• Collaborate with international engineering teams where required.
