Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is recruiting a Manufacturing Team Leader for a well-established electronics/electromechanical manufacturer in the UK. You will supervise the encapsulation process, lead a small team, and stay hands-on in production to meet schedules and quality standards.

The role requires experience in encapsulation or machinery environments, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to quality, safety and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in encapsulation, potting or related manufacturing environments (hands-on).
• Experience leading a small production team while remaining hands-on.
• Experience with machinery environments and production equipment.
• Knowledge of modern manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach to quality, safety and process improvement.
• Ability to train, mentor and support production staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the day-to-day activities of the encapsulation team.
• Plan and allocate workload to meet production schedules and business priorities.
• Carry out sealing, priming, potting and encapsulation of electromechanical assemblies.
• Operate automated encapsulation and dispensing equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of encapsulation equipment and associated machinery.
• Train and develop team members to ensure flexibility and cover across the department.
• Complete production documentation, including non-conformance and rework records.
• Monitor build quality and ensure workmanship standards are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with ESD procedures, quality standards and safe working practices.
• Drive continuous improvement and support 5S initiatives within the department.
• Maintain PPE compliance and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
• Support ISO quality, environmental and health & safety management systems.
• Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to achieve manufacturing targets.
