Job summary
Westray Recruitment Group are recruiting an Electronics Engineer for our client in Northallerton. This permanent, full-time role offers an early finish on Fridays and a hands-on mix of production support, NPI, design modifications and manufacturing engineering.
You will work with production and engineering teams to keep real-world products running, reliable and manufacturable across their lifecycle. A degree in Electronics and strong fault-finding skills are expected.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics or related discipline required.
- Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
- Experience with microcontrollers and programmable devices.
- Familiarity with PCB design and engineering software.
- Experience supporting products through manufacture, testing or lifecycle activities.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork across engineering and manufacturing.
- Proactive, independent work approach.
Responsibilities
- Supporting electronic products through manufacture and their full lifecycle.
- Solving production and test issues when builds don’t go to plan.
- Supporting NPI and getting new products into production.
- Handling component obsolescence and sourcing replacements.
- Making engineering changes to improve manufacturability.
- Fault‑finding analogue and digital electronics issues.
- Supporting test, validation and root cause analysis.
- Working closely with shop floor and engineering teams.
