Job summary

VIQU Limited is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Lead for a 3-month hybrid role in Cambridge. You will provide technical direction for the Microsoft Fabric data environment, improving data quality, governance and production deployment standards.

The role focuses on hands-on problem solving and delivering robust data solutions. You will oversee pipelines, transformations and lakehouse components, collaborating with stakeholders and offshore resources to raise reliability and consistency

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership of an established Fabric data engineering environment.
• Strong SQL skills and data modelling across multiple sources.
• Experience deploying data solutions to production with governance in place.
• Ability to review and challenge engineering approaches and enforce standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across an existing Microsoft Fabric data environment.
• Review and optimise Fabric Lakehouse solutions, data pipelines and transformations.
• Oversee data integration, modelling and quality across sources.
• Improve development, testing and deployment processes for reliable production.
• Review technical work and enforce documentation, governance and best practices.
• Identify issues affecting reliability and performance of data solutions.
