Job summary

Planet Recruitment is seeking a hands‑on Cyber Security Engineer to help deliver the Cyber Security Roadmap and improve the security posture of the technology estate. You will implement, configure, maintain and continuously enhance security tooling across the OFG, focusing on Microsoft 365, endpoint security, identity, productivity tools and broader infrastructure security.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring Microsoft 365 security controls.
• Experience with Defender capabilities and alert investigations.
• Experience supporting vulnerability management and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical work packages from the Cyber Security Roadmap, ensuring activities are planned, tested, documented and transitioned to BAU.
• Configure and maintain security tooling across the estate, including Defender, Intune, Entra ID, and 365 security features.
• Identify and implement security improvements across devices, identities, apps, and cloud services.
• Harden Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Defender per security best practices.
• Support BAU security operations by monitoring tooling, reviewing alerts, and improving detections.
• Collaborate with IT to remediate vulnerabilities and insecure configurations.
• Support security incidents with investigation, containment, remediation and evidence gathering.
• Produce technical documentation, standards, and handover materials.
• Provide practical security guidance to IT and project teams during design and change activities.
• Support cyber security accreditations and frameworks (Cyber Essentials, CIS Controls).
• Identify opportunities to automate tasks and improve security operations.
