Job summary

Belmont Farms in Melton Mowbray, England, seeks an AD and Depackaging Technician to operate the Anaerobic Digester and Packaging plant, manage feedstock, assist with maintenance and administration, and uphold health, safety and environmental standards.

You will capture plant data, support with routine inspections, coordinate deliveries, liaise with suppliers, and join an on-call rota plus weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of the plant during steady state, start up, shutdown and emergencies.
• Safe loading and feeding of products into the digester.
• Support the team to meet operational targets.
• Ensure day-to-day compliance with the Environmental Permit and report incidents.
• Carry out routine plant inspections and record data.
• Respond to first line and breakdown maintenance within capability.
• Maintain feed store and raw materials for the AD plant.
• Coordinate deliveries and liaise with suppliers.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Participate in an on-call rota plus weekends (1 in 3).
