Are you a Handover or Information Manager looking for your next role? Finlay Jude Associates is working with a leading company that specializes in providing solutions across the water and wastewater industry.

You will report directly to the Senior Commissioning Manager, and your role will be to manage the handover process and defects from project conception to client handover, including the defects period, while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of a Handover Manager:

  1. Develop and manage a comprehensive handover plan outlining milestones and timelines.
  2. Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams involved in the handover process.
  3. Oversee the completion of handover activities such as inspections, documentation, and training.
  4. Identify and mitigate risks that could impact successful handover.
  5. Prepare reports and presentations on the handover status.
  6. Track project progress and issue reports to senior management.
  7. Chair project documentation reviews with project teams.
  8. Liaise regularly with client representatives to discuss progress and upcoming issues.
  9. Ensure the BMS is implemented regarding handover until final completion.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Project management experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry.
  • Experience with documentation collation.
  • A degree or equivalent in construction, commercial, or engineering disciplines.
  • Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work closely with clients, stakeholders, and end users.
  • Delivery-driven with the ability to set targets and motivate teams to meet time, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Experience in project delivery and management skills.
  • Knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC and/or IChemE, with negotiation skills.
  • Ability to present at MWHT Governance Reviews in a leading capacity.
  • Risk and opportunity management experience.
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction health & safety regulations.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Chartered status with an engineering, commercial, or construction institution.
  • NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
