Job summary

White Label Recruitment in Halifax is seeking a Production/Operations Manager to lead a 10–12 person Production and Engineering team on site. You will ensure safe, cost‑effective operations and support planning, QC, HSE and technical teams on a daily basis.

The role requires hands‑on leadership on the shop floor, a strong background in chemical manufacturing, and a track record of developing supervisors and operators. Site‑based, five days per week with flexible start times.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a Production Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO quality standards.
• Hands-on management style with shop floor presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Production and Engineering staff on the shop floor.
• Ensure production schedules are met with a focus on safety and quality.
• Identify and resolve production, process and engineering issues to minimise downtime.
• Coach and develop supervisory structures and senior operators.
• Manage budgets related to repairs, renewals and external contractors.
• Drive continuous improvement across production processes, safety and performance.
