Overview

Hairstylist position posted by SmartStyle. Location: 1870 Riverside Dr, Timmins, ON P4R 1N7. Work is on site at a barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. This is a permanent, full-time role with starts as soon as possible. Language: English.

Responsibilities

• Book appointments
• Cut and trim hair according to client instructions or preferences
• Shampoo customers\' hair
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches
• Provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening and tinting; provide scalp conditioning massages
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
• Suggest hairstyles compatible with client\'s features and preferences
• Perform receptionist duties

What you will do

• Work setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio (on site)
• On-site role with no option to work remotely

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
• Experience: Experience an asset
• Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Hairstylist Licence

Skills and Methods

• Hair styling techniques: Blow drying, iron waving/curling, permanents, roller setting
• Hair colouring techniques: Bleach, dyes/tints, frosting, streaking/highlights

Experience and Specialization
