Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Skills Practitioner to deliver practical hair and beauty sessions at EKC Folkestone. You will support learners to achieve their goals, liaise with staff and partners, and help run safe, well‑equipped workshops.

The role focuses on hands-on teaching, student guidance, and maintaining welfare and safety in a busy learning environment. 28 hours weekly, permanent position with flexible pattern to be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Hands-on teaching and student support experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with workshop safety and equipment handling.
• Ability to contribute to practical demonstrations and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and promote excellent Health & Safety practices within workshop sessions.
• Order, organise, and issue stock and supplies to keep sessions running smoothly.
• Assist in workshop preparation and ensure equipment is ready for sessions.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students.
