Job summary

The School of Hair and Beauty is seeking a part-time Learning Assistant to support practical salons, classrooms and reception at the Luton campus. You will help with stock, equipment safety and booking systems, working with staff and learners to promote high standards of service.

The role requires hairdressing and beauty therapy knowledge (Level 2), with Level 3 an advantage. The position is 11.5 hours per week during term time, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 35 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy is required.
• Level 3 in Hairdressing/Beauty is advantageous.
• Experience with salon reception and stock control is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technician support for practical salons and reception areas.
• Maintain stock and equipment, including booking/allocating for lessons.
• Support staff and students in classrooms and work with teaching staff to aid learning.
• Promote professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.
