Job summary

The School of Hair and Beauty is seeking a part-time learning assistant to support practical salons, stock, and reception duties at the Luton campus. A background in hairdressing and beauty therapy with Level 2 qualifications is required, and Level 3 is advantageous.

The role involves assisting staff and students, managing equipment, and helping to maintain a professional learning environment. 14.5 hours per week, term-time only (Tuesday and Wednesday 14:30–21:30, 35 weeks).

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 in Hairdressing and Level 2 in Beauty Therapy.
• Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing/Beauty Therapy is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technician support for practical salons and help maintain/retrieve equipment and stock.
• Assist staff and students in classrooms and support learning as part of the curriculum team.
• Promote professionalism and customer service; manage stock control and reception duties.
