Haemophilia and Thrombophilia Consultant

Applications are invited for the post of whole-time Consultant in Haemophilia and Thrombosis at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust based at the Royal Free Hospital. Applicants must be on the General Medical Council Specialist Register (UK) with a Licence to Practise (or be eligible for full and Specialist registration within six months of interview).

Main duties of the job

Delivering core Haemostasis service at Royal Free Hospital including inpatient attending, out of hours on-call and delivery of outpatient services as required. The post-holder will contribute to a 1:5 Consultant ward attending rota and Consultant 2nd on-call rota covering haemostasis at the Royal Free site.

Liaison advice with other clinical services across the RFH site (particularly our large vascular service and renal and liver units), some liaison with clinical services at NMUH.

Other clinical work including supporting the specialist coagulation laboratory (diagnostic)

Developing an area of special interest for clinical or academic research in thrombosis Supporting activities within the department, including graduate and undergraduate teaching, as well as educational supervision.
