Job summary

James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nursing Associate to provide and monitor safe, person-centred care to a designated group of patients under the direction of a registered nurse, without direct supervision, in line with an agreed plan of care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing Associate on NMC Register.
• Foundation Degree/Apprenticeship at Level 5.
• Maths and English GCSEs (4–9) or equivalent.
• Undertaking haematology/oncology/acute care training.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the haematology and oncology day unit.
• Assist with cannulation, venepuncture, ECG and CVAD dressing/venesection.
• Support acute haematology emergencies and perform routine observations.
• Involve in simple dressings and assist with Lumbar puncture and Bone Marrow Biopsy.
