Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a Consultant General Haematologist with a Special Interest in Lymphoma to join Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. The post includes on-call duties and cross-site collaboration across the Haematology service.

The appointee will lead clinical and laboratory haematology, contribute to MDTs, teaching, and research, and travel weekly to Grantham as part of the Trust-wide service delivery.

Qualifications

• MRCP (UK) or FRCPath required or equivalent.
• Full GMC Registration and Specialist Register eligibility.
• MD, PhD or equivalent higher degree desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Haematology services across the Trust.
• Take part in a consultant rota: currently 1:11 weekdays / 1:12 weekends.
• Deliver teaching to junior staff and support clinical education programs.
• Participate in clinical governance, audit and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Take part in research where appropriate and lead service development.
• Manage on-call arrangements and ensure cover during leave.
• Travel to Grantham one day per week as part of the Trust service delivery.
