Summary:

Join our dynamic team at NHS Jobs as a Haematology and Oncology Pharmacist. As a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Cancer services, your primary role is to provide clinical support for the delivery of chemotherapy prescriptions following competency-based assessments. Collaborate with the pharmacy team to understand technical and professional guidance regarding the aseptic preparation of pharmaceutical products within the Trust. This includes overseeing the outsourcing of aseptic products from external providers when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Cancer services.
  • Provide clinical support for the delivery of chemotherapy prescriptions.
  • Conduct competency-based assessments for chemotherapy prescriptions.
  • Support the pharmacy team in understanding technical and professional guidance on aseptic preparation.
  • Oversee the outsourcing of aseptic products from external providers as needed.
  • Support the aseptic unit following the Improving Outcomes Guidance (IOG) document.
  • Implement Trust policies related to pharmaceutical care for haematology and oncology patients.
