We’re building a proactive new Habitations Team to lead the way in tackling housing hazards early, effectively, and together.
As part of our commitment to Awaab’s Law, this team will take preventative action to make sure no customer lives in unsafe or unhealthy conditions. From identifying damp and mould to responding quickly to concerns, we’re not waiting for problems to escalate. We’re fixing them at the source.
We’re now hiring for the following key roles:
2x Habitation Technicians
Skilled professionals who will carry out critical works to make homes safe, quickly and effectively.
1x Habitation Surveyor
A keen-eyed assessor who will identify risks early, work closely with technicians, and ensure nothing is missed.
2x Customer Service Agents (Habitation Support)
Friendly, empathetic communicators who will listen to customers, log issues, and ensure every case is tracked through to resolution.
How the Team Will Work
This new team will work closely and collaboratively, with a shared mission to protect the health and safety of our customers. From first contact to final fix, you’ll support one another, share insights, and respond proactively, always looking to prevent issues before they become hazards.
The Habitation Surveyor role:
This role will involve undertaking a range of inspection within our stock including diagnostics of defects that meet with Halton Housing obligations in relation to Homes (Fitness for Habitation Act 2018).
To be successful, you will need experience or a qualification in Housing Health and Safety rating system (HHSRS). You will also need a good understanding of the Fitness for Habitation Act 2018 and a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in buildings.
