A leading environmental consultancy is seeking Habitat Technicians to join their team. The role involves a range of activities from habitat management to working alongside ecologists and contractors. Suitable candidates will have a background in land management or agriculture and a willingness to learn machinery operation, with numerous opportunities for professional growth.
Salary – £26K – £35K (full time) More than one vacancy available.
Brindle & Green are currently seeking Habitat Technicians to join the contracting arm of our highly experienced multi-disciplinary practice.
Our work is diverse and includes protected species fencing, badger sett creation and closures, habitat creation, habitat management, pond creation and more! You will liaise with inhouse ecologists, arboriculturists, landscapers and external contractors, to ensure work is delivered to requirements and within deadlines.
Much of our work is on behalf a wide ranging developer client base and is often an extension of delivering the requirements of the technical outputs designed by our own ecology division. You will ideally have an estates management or agricultural background or similar with land management skills and qualifications.
The role will include the use of machinery and plant, of which training will be provided prior to use. Tickets for excavator, saw, brushcutter etc are all desirable but aren’t essential for a willing and enthusiastic candidate. Your salary would be dependent on the level of skill/experience you join us with and there is plenty of opportunity for progression through the business for the right people.
You will work as part of a small team and have access to a growing set of tools and equipment as well as the support and benefits that come from working within a growing consultancy.
On occasion this role may involve working away from home. The frequency of this is carefully monitored and this would be the exception to the rule.
