The key purpose of the Senior Operations Manager – Supply chain role is to oversee and manage performance with supply chain partners who deliver the Work Capability Assessments (WCA) and Specialist Benefit (SB) service on behalf of Capita in L2 (Midlands & Wales). The role involves ensuring contract delivery, collating performance and contractual delivery data to report both internally and externally. The individual will be responsible for the overall performance of the supply chain service, driving third-party logistics (TPL) performance, continuous improvement activity, and stakeholder engagement. This is a fixed-term, part-time contract at 22.5 hours per week for 6 months. This is a home-based role with occasional client travel required.

The Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS) arranges and carries out assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Communities (DfC). The purpose of the assessment is to understand how an illness or disability affects a person’s daily life. After the assessment, the DWP/DfC makes the decision as to whether the individual will receive any benefits. The Health Assessment Advisory Service is delivered on behalf of the DWP & DfC by Capita.
