The role involves assisting clients with boarding and alighting from vehicles, communicating with the Controller, and adhering to health and safety standards. We have an opportunity for a Passenger Assistant to join our team.
Working hours: 07:00 - 10:00 and 14:00 - 17:00 daily. This is a 16-hour contract.
To escort and assist clients with special needs, ensuring safe boarding and alighting from vehicles for their journeys to and from home, school, or other destinations.
Team leader > Controller > Passenger Assistant
Variations depend on individual client needs, including mobility, learning difficulties, or age.
The role involves working within established guidelines but may require using initiative for basic problem-solving, with complex issues escalated to supervisors.
Interact with parents, guardians, carers, teachers, and staff in a multi-ethnic environment, providing information and assistance. Good interpersonal skills are essential.
The role requires disclosure of any criminal offenses, as the position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
May involve using mobile communications, tracking, radio, and GPS devices, with accountability for equipment use.
