A well-established client within solar are looking for 2 x H&S Managers to oversee all health and safety protocols on two different large-scale ground mount solar farms.
You primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programmes to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with UK regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Lead incident investigations and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
Provide training and support to staff and contractors on health and safety practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of H&S legislation and industry best practices.
Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all phases of the project.
Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, ideally with similar experience of working on a large-scale solar project.
Strong knowledge of UK H&S regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Relevant H&S certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
