Job DescriptionAt JDP we are serious about putting Health & Safety first. Our colleagues should arrive safe, work safe, go home safe – every time. We are growing as a business and now need an experienced Health & Safety colleague to join our team. This is a new role in our structure and it's a real opportunity to influence and shape how we move forward. We already have a strong H&S culture (supported right from the top) with good processes in place. Can you help lead us to the next level?
This role can be based at our branch/office in Radcliffe - with hybrid working available. If you're not Manchester based but excited by the role, plus think your skills & experience are a great fit - then do apply regardless of your location - we can consider candidates from across mainland UK.
In this role you will provide safety coaching, advice and support for our operations (branch network) and operational management to promote improved safety outcomes across our business.
You will:
You will be a self-starter with strong communication and engagement skills. You will preferably have a Health & Safety qualification or equivalent experience. Multi-site experience is desirable but not essential. You will come to us with practical experience of undertaking accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis, reviewing risk assessments and proactively working towards continuous improvement initiatives. You will have to be thorough with good attention to detail. It would be advantageous if you are from an operational environment (factory or branches).
