Job summary

A medical manufacturing firm seeks a Health and Safety consultant for an initial 3-6 month contract located in Warwickshire. The role requires on-site presence 3 days a week and involves supporting HSE needs, preparing for ISO audits, and developing compliance documentation. Candidates should have a NEBOSH Certificate, extensive experience in manufacturing, and the capability to provide strategic oversight and operational support. The day rate is approximately £400 outside of IR35.

Qualifications

Overview

HSE Recruitment are exclusively working with a medical manufacturer on the recruitment of a Health and Safety consultant, for an initial 3-6 month period. This role will require someone on site in Warwickshire 3 days per week, and sits outside of IR35 (so will be paid via your own Ltd company).

Responsibilities

• Support day to day HSE needs of a busy manufacturing site
• Support upcoming ISO audits
• Write SOPs and related documentation
• Work closely with the MD and report into C-suite
• Provide solutions-focused input and strategic oversight for how the Health and Safety role could work for the client in the future
• Ideally come in and complete a gap analysis, then work to close those gaps over 3-6 months to ensure compliance and safety

Requirements

• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum
• Extensive experience contracting and/or consulting in manufacturing environments
• Ability to think strategically and work operationally, and be happy to roll sleeves up and get involved
• Experience reporting into C-suite
• On-site availability in Warwickshire 3 days per week
• Day rate circa £400 per day, outside IR35
