A regional healthcare provider in Haywards Heath is seeking a registered nurse to join their gynaecology outpatient centre. This role involves ensuring patient flow, assisting doctors, and delivering high-quality patient care. The gynaecology outpatient centre offers care to patients with complex women's health issues from a wide ranging patient demographic. The department runs clinics covering different gynaecology needs (fertility/general/oncology/urogynaecology, early pregnancy), with over 10 consultants and specialist nurses, requiring an ability to be able to understand the differing clinical needs for each clinic & work to clearly defined policies and procedures.
Post holders will be expected to undertake training to ensure a basic knowledge or level of competence to be able to assist in the various procedures that are carried out within the different gynaecological clinics. They will be expected to provide an effective, safe, evidence based patient care in accordance with 'The Code' to women with gynaecological problems in the outpatient setting.
The post holder will be a registered nurse with the expertise and skills to be able to assess, plan and implement individual patient's care; being accountable for their own actions. It requires highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise between primary and secondary care to ensure patients receive continuity in care. You will also be able to communicate sensitive and complex information to both patients and their carers or families.
