We are seeking a proactive, dynamic, and experienced nurse manager to lead our friendly Gynaecology Outpatient Services. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of outpatient services and clinics. You will be responsible for operational management, clinical leadership, service development, and staff support.
Provide clinical expertise and specialist advice to women accessing gynaecological outpatient services. Ensure the delivery of evidence-based, holistic nursing care that is current, effective, and aligned with Trust policies. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients undergoing assessments, investigations, and procedures. Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professional attitudes and behaviours.
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the gynaecology outpatient department. Provide strong, clear, and consistent leadership to both qualified and unqualified staff. Promote effective communication within the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives. Motivate the team to foster a positive learning environment, ensuring staff are supported and developed within the outpatient competency framework.
Support and participate in all aspects of clinical governance, including audits and quality assurance. Identify and implement initiatives to improve patient care and service delivery. Ensure compliance with current standards and legislation relevant to gynaecology services. Manage staffing, resources, and scheduling to ensure smooth service delivery. Contribute to strategic planning and development of outpatient services. Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure integrated care pathways.

Act as a visible clinical leader and role model for nursing and support staff. Ensure safe and effective care delivery in line with national and trust standards. Lead on clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives. Support complex decision-making and provide expert advice on gynaecological care. Oversee the day-to-day running of the outpatient department. Manage staff rotas, leave, and sickness to ensure adequate coverage.
Line manage nursing and support staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews. Identify training needs and support professional development. Promote a culture of learning, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. Mentor junior staff and students.
Salary: £53,751 to £60,651 a year (inclusive of HCAS) per annum
