Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist
London: The Lister Hospital, Chelsea
Full time;37.5 hours per week
Shift times:Monday – Friday (will require some evenings potentially to support clinics)

We are seeking an experienced Gynae CNS to join our team as a Gynae Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This role will see you working to grow and develop our existing Gynae service at The Lister Hospital Chelsea and our satellite sites. The role will have a big component of Endometriosis.
You will be supported by an established team of Gynae CNS based across other HCA facilities.
The Lister Hospital has a team of CNS posts covering a broad range of specialities including Urology, Colorectal, IPC, Breast and Orthopaedics.

The Gynae CNS will have both clinical and service development responsibilities (supported by our business development team). As a Gynae CNS you will be an autonomous nurse practitioner and have the ability to manage complex clinical situations, providing guidance, supervision and training to peers and junior members of staff. To be visionary and dynamic in driving the team forward in a rapid changing environment

You will have extensive experience in the speciality and have the ability to efficiently manage your time whilst maintaining the outstanding quality of care that the Lister Hospital is recognised for.

You will establish clinics and services at the Lister Hospital and it's satellite sites that support Consultant led care whilst enabling patients to complete their Gynaecological pathway at our facilities. You will work with the multi-disciplinary team across the Lister Hospital to ensure optimum timing for patients diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will join that has been recognised as "outstanding" in successive CQC inspections

What you’ll bring:

NMC registered Nurse

Extensive relevant post registration experience in specialty area

Completed relevant post graduate module (level 6 or 7)

Working towards, or willing to work towards a Master’s degree within the first year on employment

Mentoring /Teaching experience

Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situationsin the clinical context

Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to specialty

Evidence of continuous professional development in clinical area. (i.e. relevant short courses and study days)

Evidence of Advanced Communication Skills (level 2 course), or willing to complete within the first year of employment.
