Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset invites applications for a substantive Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist to join our tertiary centre in Poole. The post focuses on complex oncological and surgical care, within a collaborative, research‑driven team committed to excellence.

You will lead a multidisciplinary GO service, contribute to education and training, and participate in ongoing clinical governance to improve patient outcomes across the region.

Qualifications

• MRCOG or equivalent is required to practice GO-ONCO.
• CCT/CESR in O&G or equivalent demonstrates specialist training.
• ESGO accredited training or fellowship is advantageous.
• Full GMC registration is essential for NHS appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for women needing complex oncological and surgical management.
• Contribute to on-call rota and 24/7 service demands when required.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure patient safety and high care standards.
• Support education, training, research and clinical governance within the service.
