Base Fitness, the only independent family run gym based in Beverley, East Yorkshire. We pride ourselves on excellent customer staff relationships, always striving to create a friendly, fun environment for members to train in.

We are looking for candidates able to work on the gym reception working weekdays and weekend shifts with a variation of daytime and evenings as well as covering staff holidays. The role consists of normal reception duties you would expect, answering phones, emails, greeting members, taking bookings, signing up new members and show arounds.

Key duties required of the role include:

  • Answering incoming enquiries
  • Administration of payment transactions
  • Dealing effectively with customer complaints
  • Day to day gym maintenance and cleaning
  • Creating social media content and managing social media accounts
  • Knowledge of the Health and Fitness Industry
  • Promote sales of products

Some desirable characteristics for the role include:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of computerised management system
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Confidence in opening/locking up a venue
  • Be able to work alone or part of a team

Schedule:

  • Monday to Sunday
  • Flexible hours
  • 6:30am openings
  • 9pm closings

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Customer support: 1 year (preferred)
  • Gym experience: 1 year+ (required)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £10.33-£10.58 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
