Job summary

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is seeking staff to provide personal care and emotional support in a Registered Care Home setting. The role covers residents including older people, those with dementia and disabilities, with a focus on maintaining dignity and wellbeing.

The post is graded 3 (SCP 7-12) with a pro rata salary of £26,403–£28,598 for 18 hours per week (48.64%). Welsh language ability is desirable and rigorous pre-employment checks apply.

To provide personal care, emotional and practical support to people with identified care and support needs within a Registered Care Home setting.

This includes older people, people with a diagnosis of dementia and/or adults with a learning or physical disability within an environment that enables supports and maintains a homely atmosphere ensuring that the rights, dignity, diversity, independence, and wellbeing of individuals are promoted and maintained.
