Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a Gujarati-speaking Personal Assistant to provide companionship and practical support in the client’s home. Responsibilities include assisting with domestic chores, meal preparation, laundry and personal care reminders.

Ideal candidates are reliable, patient, and respectful of privacy and the client’s beliefs. You may be returning to work after caregiving; DBS check is applicable.

Qualifications

• Gujarati-speaking communication for client care.
• Patience and reliability in personal support roles.
• Respect for privacy, dignity and client values.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship and stimulation through activities.
• Assist with domestic tasks and keeping client’s living space tidy.
• Assist with clothing care, meal preparation, and light housework.
• Provide prompts for personal care and reminders to use the toilet.
• Drive client in own vehicle when needed; mileage paid by client.
