Job description

Guild of Master Craftsman Publications: Foreign Rights Manager

Guild of Master Craftsman Publications is an independent publisher based in East Sussex with a strong backlist of over 500 titles, publishing approximately 50-60 new titles each year across three imprints: GMCP (craft & lifestyle), Ammonite Press (illustrated reference, gift and practical photography) and Button Books (design-led children’s books). We are looking for a Foreign Rights Manager to join our small and busy team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with knowledge, passion, foreign languages and experience of working in rights to take on more responsibility and have ownership and autonomy in their role. You will report directly to the Rights & Marketing Director and be responsible for selling co-editions and licences from start to finish across all imprints and territories. You will also be expected to research new markets and develop new contacts.

This is an ideal position for someone who is enthusiastic, meticulous, proactive and who enjoys working independently. It would suit a Rights Executive with good experience of selling or a Rights Manager looking for a new challenge.
