Job summary

Dakota Newcastle is seeking a reliable Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The role is part-time with 15–18 hours per week and involves cleaning guest rooms to a high standard.

You will work independently, be self-driven and demonstrate a keen eye for detail while supporting our positive Dakota culture. Training and development opportunities are available as part of our team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year working experience in a cleaning role is strongly preferred.
• Must be self-driven, able to work at pace on own in guest bedrooms.
• Keen eye for detail when cleaning and maintaining spaces.
• Proactive and able to adapt to busy shifts and tasks.
• Enthusiastic about Dakota culture and delivering high standards.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, make beds and detail rooms to ensure a welcoming space.
• Vacuum, dust and polish, mop floors and handle light lifting of items.
• Record guest preferences and requests to tailor each stay.
• Maintain knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning equipment usage.
• Follow health and safety procedures in waste handling and manual tasks.
