Job summary

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking enthusiastic, casual Food & Beverage Assistants to join our team and help deliver outstanding service across the Hotel and Conference Centre. You’ll work in the Bar, Restaurant or support Meetings, Conferences and Events, playing an essential role in creating memorable experiences for every guest.

You’ll contribute to the smooth running of all F&B operations—from preparing and serving food and drinks to setting up meeting rooms and events.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
• Proactive approach and keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food and beverages to high quality and presentation.
• Assisting with mise en place and keeping areas clean and presentable.
• Supporting setup, service and breakdown of conferences, banquets, weddings and private events.
• Maintaining product and menu knowledge to make recommendations and maximise sales.
• Handling guest queries and minor complaints courteously, aiming to exceed expectations.
• Working with colleagues across departments for seamless service.
• Assisting with stock control, equipment care and housekeeping.
• In the Bar: prepare cocktails and beverages to specification and deliver friendly service.
• In Conference & Banqueting: setup and service meeting rooms and events.
• In the Restaurant: greet and serve guests across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
