Job description

Guaranteed supply teaching work available in primary schools across Bristol and surrounding areas.

Your new company

Hays Education works with over 70% of primary schools within the Bristol area and has two dedicated consultants who specialise only within Bristol, due to the high demand for cover teachers from our schools.

Your new role

We have guaranteed supply teaching work available for flexible and dedicated primary school teachers from Term 4. As a Hays Education Guarantee teacher, we will ensure you supply work in various schools across Bristol on the pre-arranged days you are available, covering classes from EYFS to Year 6 according to your experience. Work may also include PPA cover, intervention, and booster-based work. Work available will mainly include daily and short-term cover assignments, as well as longer-term positions if you are interested. We can guarantee work on a full or part-time basis, depending on your availability.

During your working day, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils and the school's expectations. You may also be required to plan and assess work depending on the role.

You will also be expected to follow the school's policies and safeguarding procedures and maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
• A minimum of 6 months of UK teaching experience in the last 2 years
• A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
• A strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Reliability, dedication, and professionalism at all times
