Qualifications

Job description

Weekend SEN Support Worker, Farnham, GU10. A weekend role offering set shifts for an enthusiastic, bubbly, and fun SEN professional with complex care experience to join a care team providing 2:1 support to a fabulous 16-year-old young lady with complex medical needs. GBP231.72 Gross per Shift.

  • Nearest Station: Farnham
  • Wage/Salary: GBP19.31 Gross per Hour; GBP231.72 Gross per Shift
  • Driver Essential: No
  • Essential Experience: Supporting young people with physical disabilities and complex care needs (GJ Tube, epilepsy, suctioning). This role is open to female applicants only.
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Days & Hours: Two weekend day shifts per month, typically from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm

About Rose:

Rose, 16, is at the heart of a loving family with her Mum, Dad, and younger brother. She is engaging, sweet, and enjoys music, pamper sessions, movies, sensory play, stories, and engaging activities. Rose has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, a tracheostomy, requires suctioning, a GJ tube, and has visual impairment. She communicates using her eyes and can express likes and dislikes. Her home is fully adapted, and full training is provided in all aspects of her care.

Role Overview:

The Support Worker will work alongside another team member to provide high-quality care, including personal care, medication administration, feeding, manual handling, therapy implementation, activity planning, and care plan updates, in collaboration with Rose’s family and medical team.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates are fun, bubbly, proactive, and share interests such as music, crafting, and reading. Previous complex medical care experience is required, with opportunities for ongoing training. It is essential that applicants do not smoke or vape.
