Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly capable Security Officer in Maidenhead to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors. You will apply rigorous access control procedures and work across day and night shifts to ensure continuous security coverage.

Ideal candidates will hold an SIA Front-Line License, have CCTV monitoring experience and demonstrate excellent communication and IT skills. This role requires reliability, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activity at diamond handling operations via CCTV, access control and alarms.
• Detect unauthorised intrusions and coordinate responses with local staff and police.
• Remotely control entry to premises and secure storage facilities.
• Identify security lapses and technical faults and escalate as needed.
• Adhere to CCTV best practices and legal requirements.
• Provide remote support for opening/closing secure facilities.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff & visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, together with other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and the emergency services.

You will be working an average of 42 hours per week covering Days and Nights. Shift pattern will be: 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off 0700 - 1900 or 1900-0700.

What you will need:

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
• A valid SIA CCTV License - desirable
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
• Strong experience with CCTV monitoring
• Confident communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What are you going to do:

• Monitoring activity at various diamond handling operations via electronic systems (i.e. CCTV, access control and alarms).
• Detecting unauthorised intrusions into business premises and coordinating responses with local staff and law enforcement.
• Remotely controlling entry to premises and secure storage facilities.
• Identifying and highlighting security lapses and technical faults.
• Adhering to industry best practice and legal requirements pertaining to the operation and use management of CCTV.
• Providing remote support for operational staff to open and close secure storage facilities.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
