Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Technician to join the Apache contract team at Wattisham Airfield. You will maintain, service, and repair hydraulic rigs, power units, lifting equipment and towing vehicles, ensuring equipment readiness for daily flight line operations.

The role is onsite, 37.5 hours per week, with a fixed shift pattern. You must hold NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a valid UK driving licence; security clearance

Qualifications

• Fluent English written and spoken.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing ground support equipment.
• Familiarity with MOD maintenance procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on GSE assets.
• Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Inspect, test, and calibrate equipment to ensure readiness.
• Maintain service records per MOD and BDUK standards.
• Support flight line operations ensuring equipment availability.
• Collaborate with logistics and engineering to source parts.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in upgrades and continuous improvement.
