Marketing

3 billion people across the world work in frontline jobs. Yet, despite rising costs and staff shortages, frontline organisations are still left to choose between paper, Excel, and WhatsApp, or decade-old workforce management solutions to take care of the most important part of their businesses - their people.

Enter Sona: the next generation of AI-native, frontline workforce management. We’ve built an end-to-end platform covering Scheduling, HR, Payroll, and Communications that gives the largest frontline organisations everything they need to staff more intelligently and empower their teams.

In 4 years, we’ve already made a deep impact on the lives of over 100k frontline workers and the operation of their organisations, grown the team to 120+, and secured over $50M in funding from notable VC’s, including Felicis, Northzone, Gradient Ventures (Google), SpeedInvest, Antler, and Notion Capital, plus notable angels like Tom Blomfield (Monzo).

It’s a hugely exciting time to be joining the team as we’re still small enough that you’ll have a significant impact on the company’s growth trajectory and culture, yet large enough to have a great structure, experienced leaders and world-class benefits in place. More on working at Sona here.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Growth Lead to take ownership of our marketing strategy and help scale Sona through its next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance data-driven strategy with execution across multiple work-streams and leading a small but growing team with deep sector expertise.

You’ll build the frameworks for understanding and segmenting our addressable market, design programs that accelerate pipeline, and own the metrics that demonstrate marketing’s ROI. You’ll also collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Customer teams to ensure our marketing efforts are tightly aligned with what we build and how we sell.

Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing strategy, spend, and pipeline

  • Define and execute our TAM strategy, setting strategic priorities across groups of top prospects

  • Lead and develop the marketing team, setting clear goals and ensuring aligned delivery across content, brand, and events

  • Build strong bridges with BDR and sales teams, enabling measurable marketing-to-sales conversion

  • Implement high-impact growth hacking initiatives including AI tools, automation, and C-level outbound

Requirements

  • You bring startup experience, and are comfortable with the pace, ambiguity and ownership that comes with it

  • Background in BizOps, startup GTM, strategy consulting or similar roles, giving you a strong analytical and structured thinking foundation

  • You’re data-driven and can turn numbers into insight and insight into action

  • You’re creative and commercially minded; comfortable shaping brand and messaging as well as driving pipeline

  • Strong communicator and natural collaborator across teams, with the ability to effectively engage senior stakeholders, report directly into the C-suite, and put yourself in our audiences shoes

  • You’re tech-savvy and comfortable evaluating and implementing modern marketing tools and automation platforms

Benefits

  • Salary: flexible - we’re open to a range of seniorities and experience backgrounds

  • Hybrid working: 2-3 days per week in the London office

  • Share options

  • 35 days annual leave (25 days standard plus 10 flexible public holiday days)

  • Extra day of leave for every year of service

  • Pension contributions matched up to 5%

  • Comprehensive health insurance

  • Enhanced parental leave & pay

  • Co-working space stipend for those based outside London

  • Bi-annual all expenses paid team retreats

  • The latest Macbook and equipment budget for your home office

  • Professional development budget

  • Unlimited free books
