Job summary

Our North West client, a fast-growing multidisciplinary consultancy, seeks a Group Operations & Business Development Director based in the North West with travel to other UK locations. The role combines strategic leadership, business development, operational delivery, and integration across the group.

You will drive scalable systems, foster collaboration across sites, and unlock growth opportunities while steering budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to support sustainable margin

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within the construction/engineering consultancy sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L accountability and growth delivery.
• Proven ability to lead organisational change and integration across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for the Civil & Structural practice and support geotechnical teams.
• Develop and execute operational strategies to improve service delivery, profitability, and resource utilisation.
• Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives across the group.
• Lead post-acquisition integration, harmonising operating models, systems and commercial practices.
