Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Director in the UK to drive performance across multiple sites, including third‑party partners. You will own the operating model, cost base and strategy to support rapid growth, while delivering service and profitability.

You will lead a high‑impact team, embed ERP/WMS systems, and report to the Board on financial and operational performance. Regular travel between Northern and Southern operations is required.

Qualifications

• Senior operational leader with scalable experience across warehousing, distribution and logistics.
• Proven track record of owning budgets and driving cost reductions.
• Experience building and leading large teams across multiple sites or partners.
• Experience implementing or embedding ERP/WMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Take overall accountability for operational performance across multiple sites and partners.
• Lead and develop the existing operational management structure.
• Build the operating model to support significant growth and capacity planning.
• Own the operational cost base including labour, transport and storage.
• Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency and cost-to-serve.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and ensure service levels.
• Build robust business cases and recommendations for the Board.
