Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Management Accountant to deliver accurate and timely management accounts and financial analysis for a newly acquired entity with a turnover of circa £30 million. You will also develop forecasts and budgets and drive process improvements.

In this role you will collaborate with operational and commercial teams, provide insightful commentary on variances, and support annual planning cycles while monitoring KPIs and trends.

Qualifications

• Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Lead month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide insights into variances and drivers, supporting budgeting/forecasting

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Lead month-end close activities for designated business areas
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial records
• Analyse monthly financial performance against budget and forecast, and provide detailed commentary and insights into key variances and business drivers
• Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles
• Monitor financial performance against targets and proactively identify risks and opportunities
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge
• Monitor KPIs and identify trends
