Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a growing manufacturing business on the outskirts of Basingstoke, Hampshire. The role supports a busy finance function with clear progression prospects in a stable environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with AP/AR, VAT and payroll, improving financial processes, and providing daily support to the team. Flexible working arrangements are available, with 3-4 office days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable, receivable and supplier management processes.
• Assist with preparation of VAT, corporation tax and other statutory returns.
• Help improve finance systems and streamline transactional workflows.
• Assist with payroll processing, including data collation and benefits administration.
• Respond promptly to internal finance queries and provide day-to-day support to the team.
