Job summary

The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a charity delivering nautical adventure and development opportunities for young people and seafarers. We are seeking a Growth and Development Worker (part-time, home-based) to open new provisions and support current ones, reducing waiting lists in funded areas.

You will coach and inspire volunteers and cadets, in person and remotely, to drive growth across the UK. The role requires self-motivation, organisation, creativity, and IT competency.

Qualifications

• Experience working with volunteers.
• Ability to manage multiple project plans.
• Strong relationship building with stakeholders (remote & in-person).
• Experience delivering workshops or training sessions.
• Self-motivated with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions on recruitment of cadets and volunteers.
• Develop growth and recruitment tools and ideas.
• Promote flexible volunteering and the volunteer strategy.
• Assist with running social media accounts.
• Empower volunteers to develop growth plans.
