The Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled Grower Manager to oversee the production of Brassica (e.g., cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower) and Root Crops (e.g., carrots, potatoes, turnips) in Scotland. This role presents the opportunity to lead the entire crop production cycle, ensuring excellence from planting to harvest. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in crop management, strong leadership capabilities for team management, and a steadfast commitment to sustainable farming practices.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the complete crop production process for Brassica and Root Crops
  • Developing and executing crop management plans encompassing irrigation, fertilisation, pest control, and crop rotation
  • Overseeing a team of growers and field workers to ensure efficient performance management
  • Monitoring crop growth and quality to uphold high standards
  • Collaborating with internal teams such as logistics, sales, and quality control to ensure punctual crop delivery
  • Managing budgets for crop production while identifying opportunities for cost savings
