If you are a passionate events & groups professional seeking to develop within an esteemed brand and the world's largest travel company, get in touch with us today! Discover where your journey can take you.

At Marriott International, we believe in seizing opportunities and creating your own adventure. Every guest presents a new opportunity, and you never know who might walk through our doors. Our diverse global family of associates brings unique strengths, styles, personalities, and interests, making each day a new discovery. So, where will your journey take you?

The Events & Groups Manager is responsible for managing incoming enquiries (electronic & telephone), from initial contact through to transition to the operations team for event execution and back to sales. The role primarily deals with external enquiries, providing excellent customer service throughout the process—initial enquiry, rate negotiation, contracting, and planning before, during, and after the event.

The ideal candidate will be dynamic, detail-oriented, and possess strong selling, negotiation, and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating with hotel departments and customers to ensure seamless service throughout the sales and event cycle. The manager will also recognize opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling, conversion, and driving repeat business. Adherence to brand standards for enquiry handling, event planning, and post-event follow-up is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ownership of managing and converting assigned enquiries
  2. Coordinating all customer requirements, including communication and documentation of event details, and handing over to operations on event day
  3. Expertise in menu planning, food presentation, meeting room setup, AV, and banquet standards; collaborating with Banqueting and Kitchen teams to develop new F&B concepts
  4. Ensuring system processes are correctly used to maintain booking integrity and accuracy
  5. Selling according to pre-determined event and group strategies
  6. Working within brand standards and system processes
  7. Generating incremental revenue and delivering excellent guest service
  8. Managing bedroom blocks and meeting space inventory for assigned groups
  9. Conducting compelling show rounds to secure business
  10. Executing Meetings Imagined.com and MSA standards
  11. Proactively re-engaging previous customers and event bookers for future opportunities

In addition to the benefits, being part of our esteemed brand offers:

  • A unique opportunity to be part of an award-winning international brand that celebrates your talent
  • Promotion opportunities within Marriott International, the largest hospitality brand worldwide
  • World-class training and development programs to enhance your skills
  • Collaboration with experienced hospitality professionals
  • Discounted room nights, meals, and spa access
  • Flexible benefits including health and life assurance
  • Major high street discounts for you and your family
