The Finance & Tax team is recruiting an experienced VAT Accountant to join their Nottingham office. This role offers the opportunity to work within a global organization committed to professional growth and a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare the UK Quarterly VAT Return for the UK VAT Groups.
2. Extract, verify, and analyze data from various IT applications, applying UK VAT rules.
3. Perform transactional reviews following SOPs and HMRC guidance.
4. Support UK Tax team with International VAT compliance and contribute to process improvements.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. ACA (or equivalent) or CTA qualified tax professional.
2. Qualified to CCAB or ATT.
3. Experience with complex international VAT and VAT recoverable rates.
4. Experience in producing UK and international VAT returns.
5. Strong knowledge of UK and international VAT legislation.
6. Experience with VAT software like Alpha VAT is desirable.
7. Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
8. Experience with data manipulation from multiple sources.
9. Advanced Excel skills are desirable.
10. Highly organized with good time management.
11. Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, attention to detail.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
