Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is assisting a leading international investment and asset management business in appointing a Group Treasury Manager to lead the development of a scalable group treasury function with exposure to corporate and fund activities.

The role focuses on cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury reporting, while establishing funding facilities to support growth, acquisitions and working capital.

Qualifications

• Proven treasury management experience in a corporate, financial services or investment environment.
• Experience working within a multi-entity international group.
• Strong experience across cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Group Treasury function, including operating model, governance, policies and controls.
• Own and enhance cash flow forecasting and liquidity management for visibility of funding needs and liquidity risks.
• Develop treasury reporting and provide insights to senior management on liquidity, funding and treasury risks.
• Support funding facilities to back working capital, growth and acquisitions.
• Manage banking relationships and oversee treasury platforms, controls and delegated authorities.
• Develop treasury risk frameworks covering liquidity, counterparty and regulatory considerations.
• Build scenario analysis and stress-testing for acquisitions, refinancing and liquidity events.
• Drive improvements in treasury systems, automation, data and reporting to enhance efficiency and controls.

Job description

TGRC is working with a leading international investment and asset management business with a strong focus on energy transition, infrastructure, technology and other long-term investment opportunities.

They are looking to appoint a Group Treasury Manager to lead the continued development of a scalable, group-wide treasury function. This is a high-impact role with exposure across corporate and fund activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the Group Treasury function, including the operating model, governance framework, policies and controls.
• Own and enhance cash flow forecasting and liquidity management, ensuring the Group has appropriate visibility of cash requirements, funding needs and potential liquidity risks.
• Develop treasury reporting and provide regular insights to senior management and the Executive Committee on liquidity, funding requirements, capital distribution capacity and key treasury risks.
• Support the establishment and management of funding facilities to support working capital, growth and potential acquisition activity.
• Manage Group banking relationships and oversee banking platforms, mandates, user access, payment controls and delegated authorities.
• Develop treasury risk frameworks covering liquidity, counterparty, FX, interest rate and operational risk, including appropriate limits and escalation processes.
• Assess and support the development of the Group's hedging strategy, including relevant IFRS 9 considerations.
• Build scenario analysis and stress-testing models covering acquisitions, refinancing, dividend distributions, share buybacks and stressed liquidity events.
• Drive improvements across treasury systems, automation, data and reporting, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and controls.
• Lead treasury-related control improvements and remediation, maintaining appropriate documentation, risk and control matrices and evidence of control operation.
• Act as the key treasury contact for internal audit, external audit and regulatory reviews.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven treasury management experience within a corporate, financial services or investment environment.
• Experience working within a multi-entity international group.
• Strong experience across cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and treasury reporting.
• Exposure to banking relationships, funding, cash investment, counterparty risk and treasury policy development.
• Experience with treasury controls, banking platforms and treasury systems/automation.
• Strong Excel, modelling and analytical skills.
• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and translating treasury analysis into clear recommendations.
• ACT or another professional treasury qualification would be advantageous.
